Collegial Seminar sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences at noon on Monday,
February 20, will hear Dr. Mitchell Reddish's paper "Martyr Christology in the
Apocalypse." Carry your lunch to the Private Dining Room, coffee and dessert provided
by the Dean of the College. Presentation begins at about 12:15 and ends by 1:15 p.m.

On Monday evening, February 20, at 7:30 p.m., Mr. Thomas Carroll, Woodrow Wilson
Fellow, will give a public address on the work of the International Executive Service
Corps, of which he is President/CEO. Through the IESC, experienced executives—500
per year—volunteer their services throughout the world in Peace Corps fashion. This
event will be in Elizabeth Hall auditorium and will be the only public address during
Mr. Carroll's week at Stetson. The International students are sponsoring the

The next meeting of the Stetson Chapter of Habitat for Humanity will be Monday,
February 20, 1989, at 3:30 p.m. in room 203 of Flagler Hall. Habitat for Humanity is
an organization committed to helping eliminate poverty housing. The Stetson chapter
is open to all members of the Stetson community—faculty, staff, and students. All
interested persons are invited to attend.

Dr. Peter B. Littlewood, a research scientist at AT & T Bell Labs at Murray Hill, will
give a public talk on Thursday, February 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 213, Sage Hall. The
title of the talk is "U.S. vs. Them: Science Education and Research in a Competitive
Age." Dr. Littlewood received his Ph.D. degree from Cambridge University and his
visit to Stetson is sponsored by the Visiting Scientists Program of the American

Dr. Robert Read, curator of Botany, Smithsonian Institution will give two talks on
Thursday, February 23. The first is at 4:00 p.m. in room 213 Sage Hall is entitled
"On the trail of endemic palms of the Hawaiian Islands." In the evening at 8:00 p.m.
he will speak on "Bromeliads" in Davis Hall Auditorium. Dr. Read's visit is sponsdred
by the Artist and Lecturers Committee. All are welcome. Dr. Eliane M. Norman
