The next meeting of the Faculty Senate will be held at 6:45 p.a. on Monday, January 9,
in the Private Dining Room of the Carlton Union Building. It will be preceded by an
optional dinner at 6:00 p.m. Those planning to dine should purchase a meal in the
Commons and bring their trays up to the Private Dining Room. Everyone in the academic

The second More-Effective-Writing workshop entitled "Tools of the Craft: Writing and
Teaching Writing" will be conducted by Mike Raymond on Tuesday, January 17, 1989, at
4:00 p.a. in room 206 Elizabeth Hall. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. in the
Stetson Room. Sponsored jointly by the Professional Development Committee and the
Writing-Across-the-Curriculum Committee, this is the second in a series of four
"hands-on" workshops directed toward improving the writing abilities of Stetson
students. Please attend this workshop even though you were unable to attend the first
one. For dinner reservations, please call the Political Science office, extension
349, or write to campus box 8302.
