ANNOUNCEMENTS
FACULTY: ODK members will be tapping their spring inductees for a May initiation
today, Friday, April 6. We hope that you will excuse any inconvenience that this may
cause. We would also like to encourage faculty members to participate in the ODK
faculty-student dinners in the future. The series thus far has met with great success

Under the joint sponsorship of the Westinghouse Savannah River Company and the Stetson
Student Affiliate Chapter of the American Chemical Society, Dr. Kenneth Hofstetter
will be on campus on Monday, April 9, 1990, for a public lecture. The talk, entitled
"Nuclear Power and Its Impact on our Nation's Energy Needs," is a non-technical talk
and should be suitable for a general audience. It is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in room
213 Sage Hall (the "Jenkins Room") on the Stetson campus.

The April meeting of the 1989-90 Faculty Senate will be held on Monday, April 9, at
6:45 p.m. in the Private Dining Room. Registrar Al Wehrle will discuss with the
Senate its recommendation for due date for Winter Term grades. The Senate will
consider a recommendation of the Executive Committee concerning the term of the Senate
university-at-large members. The Academic Affairs Committee will present a proposal
for a pilot course on the freshman experience. The Educational Policies Committee
will introduce revised motions concerning academic status and on-campus promotions.
Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. for $4.50. All those who would like a dinner
reservation should call Mitchell Reddish at ext. 8932 by noon Monday.
