Mr. Robert J. Heckel, Director, Stetson Small Business Development Regional Center, was a guest of Mr. Melvin Grace on the Channel 2 Television program, "Opportunity Line" to be aired at 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.,
Sunday, March 27, 19 83. Mr. Heckel underscored the recently inaugurated
Stetson Special Emphasis Program which is geared to offering no-charge,
confidential management and technical assistance counseling to minority
owned businesses and minority individuals aspiring to become small
business owners.
Bethune-Cookman College was also highlighted as being a seminar co-
sponsor with Stetson on April 21, 1983, at Bethune-Cookman. Dean
David W. Nylen will be a guest speaker at that seminar, discussing Advertising Decision Making for the small business entrepreneur.

The following students will be absent from classes on March 18 as they

The Stetson Small Business Development Center in cooperation with the
SBA, Deland Area Chamber of Commerce and Orange City Chamber of Commerce
will conduct an "Advertising and Sales Promotion" Seminar on Thursday,
March 31, 1983, at 6:30 p.m. in Davis Hall Auditorium. David W. Nylen
Dean of the School of Business Administration will discuss "Advertising
Decision-Making" and Mr. Al Carson from Sears Roebuck, Volusia Mall
will show the "Effective Use of Sales Promotion." Registration can be
made through the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce at 734-4331.

President Pope A. Duncan will be a guest on Channel 24's "Postscripts"
program to be aired Friday, March 18 at 5:30 p.m., and repeated on
Monday, March 21 at 11:30 a.m. Dr. Duncan appears with Dr. Thaddeus
Seymour, President of Rollins College and Dr. Oswald P. Bronson,
President of Bethune-Cookman College in a discussion of the role and
