The TIAA has made an announcement concerning annual rates of interest
effective March 1, 1983. For the twelve months March 1, 1983 through
February 29, 1984 your TIAA annuity will be credited with the following
total effective annual rates of interest:
• 12.25% on that portion of your accumulation resulting from
premiums paid and Additional Amounts credited to your annuity
on or after January 1, 19 82.
