PROVOST INTERVIEWS: On campus interviews with the top five candidates
for the Provost position are scheduled tentatively for April 30-May 9.
Subject to changes due to travel, this interview schedule will be
followed for each candidate:
First Day:
3:00 p.m. - Reception, Faculty Lounge (primarily for department heads
and for faculty unable to come during regular interview period).
4:00 p.m. - Faculty Interview, Davis Hall Auditorium.
6:15 p.m. - Dinner and Student Interview, Private Dining Room, CUB.
Second Day:
7:30 a.m - Breakfast and Cabinet Interview, President's Dining Room.
9:15 a.m. - Provost's Staff Interview, Elizabeth Hall Conference Room.
10:45 a.m.- Search Committee Interview, Board Room, DeLand Hall.
Any changes will be announced if time permits. Please reserve the

On Monday, April 28, Gamma Chapter of Florida, Phi Beta Kappa, will
hold its annual initiation ceremony for new members. At this time,
ten students and one alumnus will be inducted. Following the
ceremony, at 8:00 p.m. in the John E. Johns Room, the alumnus
initiate, Dr. John Robert Moore, professor of History at the
University of Southwestern Louisiana, will deliver an address entitled
"American History in China." Dr. Moore has extensive publications
including three books, portraying American history and thought to
Asians. He has spent two years in Taiwan, two years in Thailand, and
three years in China. He comes as a guest of Phi Beta Kappa and the
Artist and Lecturers Series. This address is open to the public and

OPEN REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER AND FALL: Faculty advisers are reminded
that registration for the Summer Session and Fall Semester will
