Stetson University faculty, staff, and friends are invited to a reception on Saturday, January 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Sampson Hall
Art Gallery, honoring Mr. Jon Joosten, photographer of international
reputation. An exhibit of his works will also be on display.
Mr. Joosten will be teaching a non-credit short course entitled
"The Art of Photography" on campus on Thursday evenings, February 17 -

Faculty members and administration are reminded that academic advising
and registration for the Spring Term will be conducted in the Stetson
Room of the Carlton Union Building at 8:00 on Monday, January 31.
Faculty advisors are requested to be in their offices to assist new
arrivals and any other students who may need their wise counsel.

Tuesday, February 1st is the last day for reservations for the "Gone
With the Wind" Sophomore Dinner sponsored by the University Woman's
Club. The dinner will be held in the Stetson Room on Saturday,
February 5th at 7 p.m. Checks for $8.25 should be sent to Barbara Wright
Box 1377. Dress: Antebellum Gents and Belles OPTIONAL.

The regular meeting of the Faculty Senate will be held Tuesday, Feb. 1
in the Private Dining Room at 6:45 p.m. Senate meetings are open to
all faculty members. From: Jesse L. Berry, Secretary
Ntozake Shange, black woman playwright and novelist, will appear at
Stetson next Thursday, February 3, at 8 p.m. in the Elizabeth Hall
Auditorium. Ms. Change's play for colored girls who have considered
suicide when the rainbow is enuf was a successful Broadway production.
She has published numerous other plays, poems, and, most recently,
the novel Sassafrass, Cypress, and Indigo. She has received numerous
awards, including those from The Outer Critics Circle, Obie, and Frank
Silvera Writer's Workshop and has been nominated for Tony, Grammy,
