The School of Business Administration will be sponsoring a talk
by Norman Olsen, President of the Management Meeting Company and
William Luke, Jr., Group V-P of Geo International on "A Nuts and
Bolts Look at Acquisitions and Mergers." The date is Thursday,
March 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Davis Hall. This is part of the continuing series of Distinguished Business Speakers.

The Artists and Lecturers Committee is very pleased to sponsor the
visit of Dr. Ned Ruby on Thursday, March 17. Ned is a summa cum
laude Stetson '71 alumnus who went on to get a Ph.D. at Scripps
Institution of Oceanography. He has held post doctoral research
fellowships at Harvard University and Woods Hole Oceanic Institution and is now assistant professor at University of Southern
California. He will give two talks on March 17, one for the Biology
Department's Senior Seminar entitled "Bacterial Symbioses. How is a
microbe like a tiger, a wheatfield or a light bulb?" at 4 p.m. in
Sage Hall room 218, and at 7 p.m. in the John Johns room of Elizabeth
Hall, a public lecture on "Deep Sea Hydrothermal Vents: A Biological
World that needs no sun." All are welcome.

FACULTY AUTHORS: I am attempting to gather for the Library's
permanent collection all books and scholarly articles published
by Stetson faculty and administrators. If you have published a
book which is not in our collection, please let me know so I can
locate a copy. If you have an extra offprint of your article
(or articles) , that can be added to the collection this would be
helpful - if not, I will have a copy xeroxed. This type of collection can be very helpful in dealing with accreditation agencies
and honorary societies. The collection will be on display for
Parents/Honors Weekend and throughout the month of April.
