The Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) has announced the "1981 Summer
Intern Program for College Juniors and Seniors". Funds are available to
support 25 students in the 1981 Summer Intern Program. Stipends of $225
per week plus transportation to Golden, Colorado, for the period of work.
The purpose of this program is to expose students to the broad problems
associated with practical widespread utilization of solar energy, including technical, economic, environmental, legal and social aspects.
Deadline for receipt of applications is February 1, 1981. A copy of this
announcement is on file in the office of Dean of the University if you
desire any additional information.
The faculty are reminded that reserved tickets for the Stetson Men's
Basketball games must be picked before noon (with ID for each ticket requested) on the day of the game.
In an effort to be more informative concerning campus events a weekly
schedule will be published in the Faculty Bulletin. If you have programs,
speakers or happenings of interest to any segment of the campus please
notify the Director of Carlton Union at ext. 254. We aire sincerely
interested in publishing your event so please keep us informed.
If you have not received your 1980-81 DeLand telephone directory please
stop by the Switchboard office in the CUB and pick them up.
The University Women's Club Yoga Group will meet on Monday, January 12
at 8:00 PM in Room 234 at the Edmunds Center. Former and new members
are invited. For further information call Jennie Bond at 734-6227.
