As indicated earlier the major topic for the faculty meeting Thursday, March 5 will
be the 1981-82 budget. In addition there will be a period of discussion of the
Senate recommendations on this winter term. /s/ Thomas J. Turner
The next regular meeting of the Faculty Senate will be held in the Private Dining
Room (CUB) at 6:45 P.M., Tuesday, March 3. All faculty are invited to attend.
Room 107 in the Library is no longer available for meetings or classes. A new meeting
room open to faculty members and student groups is available, room 207. Reservations
must be made with the library office and the key can be picked up at circulation.
REMINDER to all deans, department heads, and program directors: Please return all revised Bulletin materials to Brad Crain by February 27, if you have not already done so.
The College of Law is presenting a continuing education program entitled "Seminar on
Nonprofit Organizations" on March 13-14 in St. Petersburg. A brochure is available
from Dean Doug Strickland, Continuing Education office in Elizabeth Hall, ext. 467.
The Military Science Department will conduct its annual Orientation Visit to Fort
Stewart, Georgia for Army ROTC Cadets. This school year, the visit will be from
5 March through 8 March 1981. All advanced course cadets are required to participate
in this training and the visit is voluntary for basic course cadets. This is an
approved university function and students should be given an authorized absence from
classes. A list of participants will be furnished upon our return to the campus.
There will be a system familiarization lecture for new users of the academic computer
on Monday, March 2, from 3-4 P.M. in Room 1, Flagler Hall.
