PARENTS WEEKEND
Since pre-registration will take place April 13, 14 and 15, advising must take place
the week of April 5. Therefore, appointment sheets are going out to advisers immediately so they can post them to enbale sudents to make appointments for advising.
Appointment sheets should be posted for the week of March 29 so that advising can
take place the week of April 5, 1982.
If any advisers did not get appointment sheets or need additional sheets, they should
inquire at the Registrar's office.

PARENTS WEEKEND - On Saturday, April 3, faculty members are urged to attend the Presidential reception in the President's Garden from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and the barbeque
from 11:30 to 2:00 p.m. in the Forest of Arden. This is an excellent opportunity
for faculty and parents to interact, thus I hope you will be able to attend. Each
faculty member is entitled to one free ticket to the barbeque. The ticket may be
obtained in room 213 of Carlton Union Building. Additional tickets are also available
for family members, $3.75 for adults and $2.50 for children.
On February 5, 1982, our library's collection of government documents was inspected
by a reprsentative of the office of the Superintendent of Documents of the United
States Government Printing Office. In reporting the results of this inspection,
Mr. Myers, Director of the Library, received the following word, " I congratulate you
and your outstanding staff on achieving standards of excellence in all areas relating
to the depository library program. This places your library among a select vanguard
of pace-setters serving as creative models for depository documents service in the
United States." The letter was signed by W.J. Barrett, Superintendent of Documents.
I am sure all of you join me in expressing congratulations to Mr. Sims Kline and to
Mrs, Joe Myers, who works with him in maintaining our government documents collection.
