For the information of the faculty and staff, we reprint an extract of a letter received from the Daytona Inn located at 219 South Atlantic Avenue and at 730 North
Atlantic Avenue.
"This letter is to let you know that we are offering the employees and
guests of Stetson University our special Educational Institution Rate.
We will accept your reservations at a year around rate of $20 per night,
single or double occupancy on a space available basis. During "Special
Events" which generally occur from February and the week after Easter
and the 4th of July weekend advance reservations are required.

The cafeteria is open this summer from Monday morning thru Friday lunch. There is a
special faculty/staff "buffet style" lunch served in the Garden Room Monday-Friday
from 11:30-1:00 each day. All you can eat for $1.75 and show your I.D.
Dr. Derek Barkalow, Biology Department, has been accepted to participate in a National
Science Foundation science faculty professional development program on "Photobiology
and Radiation Biology" to be held at the University of Chicago in July.

At its meeting of May 13, 1980, the membership of the local AAUP chapter elected the
following officers for '80-'81: President, Ed Coolidge; Vice President, John Hague;
Treasurer, Lena Hobbs; Secretary, Derek Barkalow.
Please note that on June 1, 1980, Tim Keener took over as the Director of Security and
Traffic. Your continued cooperation with the Security Office will be appreciated.
Gary Maris' article "Teaching International Law" was published by the American Political
Science Association in the Spring 1980 edition of News for Teachers of Political Science.
