10:20 - 10:50 a.m.
UNIVERSITY WORSHIP SERVICE
Because of the resignation of Dr. Wayne Dickson from the Faculty Senate, it is
necessary to announce the name of a new chairman of the Faculty Welfare Committee.
Dr. Jesse Berry has agreed to serve for the remainder of the 1981-82 academic year.
Faculty are requested to remind all students who appear on their class rolls with
the notation "NOT ENROLLED" to go to the Director of Student Accounts immediately.
This notation means their registration for Winter Term was not completed. Unless
this is cleared, these students will not receive credit for Winter Term courses,
even though they may be attending class now. For some of them, their financial
account is not clear, and they may not be permitted to register for Spring Semester.
There are still several students in this category. Also, if there are still people
in class not on the roll, please remind them to go to the Registrar if they want to
receive academic credit for the Winter Term.
Faculty are requested to submit nominations for senior students to be selected for
the 1981-82 edition of Who's Who Among College and University Students. Nominees
should possess at least a 3.00 cumulative G.P.A., should be of exemplary character,
and should have distinguished themselves in leadership experiences in some area of
University life. Nominations should be submitted by January 29 to Director of Student
Life, Jayne Marlowe at Box 1338, extension 356.
Stetson University now has a comprehensive bulletin listing all graduate programs
of the University. A copy may be obtained form the University Graduate Office by
calling extenstion 466.
Stetson Credit Union Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 21 at 12:30p.m.
in the Stetson Room. All members are urged to attend this annual meeting. Officers
and committee members will be elected. Refreshments served.
George Lukas' science fiction film "THX 1138" will be shown in the Stetson Room on
Thursday, January 21 at 1:30 p.m.
Dr. John K. Schorr of the Department of Sociology has been re-elected to the Board
of Directors of Florida Health Care Inc. Florida Health Care is an 11,000 member
