"EMPLOYMENT OF NON-ACADEMIC PERSONNEL:
All supervisors and any other University personnel who may on
occasion be involved in the selection of persons for non-academic
employment within the University are reminded that all selection
processes for employment are to be made with the full participation
and under the guidance of the Director of Personnel. No search
efforts are to be begun until the search program and the text of
announcements and any advertising has been approved by the Director
in writing. This is necessary to maintain conformity with established
University terms of employment, to insure consistency in all representations regarding the University, and to maintain proper records
of those individuals applying.
At the end of the selection process, no commitment for employment is made until written approval is obtained from the Director of
Personnel. This is absolutely necessary to maintain conformity with
the University budget and established terms of employment. (Prior
written approval is necessary for all student or cash labor employees
(those students not compensated through the Financial Aid Office).
These procedures are absolutely necessary for the protection of
the interests of the University and your cooperation will be sincerely
appreciated and enforced."
