THE FACULTY SENATE WILL MEET ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2008, in the Faculty Lounge in the Carlton Union
Building. Senators and invited guests meet for dinner at 6:00 p.m. The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. and all faculty
members are encouraged to attend. Agenda items include committee assignments for development of the Senate
whitepaper for the incoming president, and reports on the presidential search, Tenure and Promotion, COD and
President's Staff meetings, and new sabbatical award procedures.

COMMENCEMENT CHANGES FOR DECEMBER 2008. As part of our 125th Anniversary celebrations, the fall
commencement schedule has been changed and will now include Baccalaureate, to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday,
December 12, in Elizabeth Hall Chapel. The commencement ceremony for both graduate degree candidates and
undergraduate degree candidates will be held in the Edmunds Center at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13.
