2009 FALL COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION
Commencement for candidates of both baccalaureate and graduate degrees will be held on Saturday. December 12. at
10:00 a.m. in the Edmunds Center. The faculty line of march will form at 9:30 a.m. in the lower west corridor. Dr. Noel
Painter, Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Music, and recipient of the 2009 McEniry Award, will give the
commencement address. Senior speakers are Allyson McKenna (BS) and Sam Rabin (BS). A reception will be held in the
Rinker Field House after the ceremony.
Full regalia is required for baccalaureate and commencement. The Line of March is posted to

SENATE TASK FORCE FORMED. The Faculty Senate, with the support of President Libby and Provost Paul, has formed
a task force to assess the current university policies and the campus climate as they relate to the GLBT community. The
task force will report back to the Faculty Senate with its assessments and any recommendations they may have. The
Senate will then make recommendations to the president and the provost. The members of the task force are: Rosalie
Carpenter (staff), Jane Christeson (faculty), Victor Diaz (student), Carolyn Nicholson (faculty), John Pearson (faculty &
chair), Jessica Price (staff), Ben Robles (student), Michele Skelton (faculty), Justin Williams (staff), and Eli (Eleanor) Witek
(student).

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE AT THE GILLESPIE MUSEUM. Friday, December 4, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Browse the Museum
Shop for gifts, mineral specimens, earth science books, stocking stutters for all on your list and stay for cookies and cool
drinks. The Shop will be open 10:00 am - 4:00 p.m, Mondays - Fridays, through December 11. Proceeds support
educational programs at the Gillespie and Rinker Environmental Learning Center.
