CLASSROOM BELLS: During periods of actual filming in Elizabeth Hall by Universal, it
will be necessary that the classroom bell system be deactivated. Present schedule
calls for filming to begin on Wednesday, March 18. During those days, please do not

PURCHASE ORDERS: Requisitions for purchase orders to be charged against 1980-81 budget
appropriations should be approved and delivered to purchasing agent, Everette Johnson,
by Monday, March 30. Compliance with this date is necessary for the orderly processing
of orders by vendors, deliveries, billings, and approval of invoices by the departments
before the closing of books. Thank you for your assistance in meeting this schedule.

REMINDER TO ALL FACULTY! Grade Inventories are due in the Registrar's Office by
8:00 A.M., Monday, March 23rd.
The School of Music will present its second annual Twentieth-Century Music Festival
March 17-21. The guest composer for the Festival will be Robert Xavier Rodriguez, who
has also received a commission by the Lenoir Almand Fund for New Music to write a work
for violin and orchestra which will be premiered by violinist Kirk Toth and the Stetson
Orchestra Friday, March 20, at 8:00 p.m. in Elizabeth Hall. Dr. Rodriguez will be in
residence on the Stetson campus Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, conducting master
classes, discussions, and an open rehersal of the orchestra. For more information on
the schedule of events, call Janis Kindred at ext. 494 or the Music Office at ext 514.
Dr. Gareth Williams has had a book Mathematics with Applications in the Management,
Natural and Social Sciences published by Allyn and Bacon, Inc. The book is for a year
course and covers such topis as linear algebra, statistics, calculus and computing.
It focuses on how to use the mathematics developed.
Michael W. Raymond's essay "Generic Schizophrenia in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle
Maintenance" appeared in The CEA Critic, 43 (March 1981), 18-25.
The Stetson University Forensics Union will host the State Junior College Forensics
Tourney March 19-21.
