BUILDING TEMPERATURES—Federal regulations on temperature controls in public buildings
have been withdrawn. The University has within the limits of its building systems
recognized those regulations. Now without regulation but in the light of ever increasing utility costs, we will want to individually and as a community, continue to
operate our systems as economically as possible. Each of us is urged to refrain from
requesting adjustments on thermostat settings unless there is a demanding necessity
for doing so. We are in the active process of a complete energy audit by an independent
professional firm as a part of the ongoing conservation effort. Your continuing cooperation is vital and appreciated. /s/ H. Graves Edmondson

Grade Inventories are due in the Registrar's Office by 8:00 a.m., Monday, March 23.
The Universal film company will arrive in DeLand Saturday, March 14, and will be shooting
on campus and in the city for approximately three weeks. The actual days of filming on
campus will number about 3 or 4, but there will be days of preparation and striking of
sets throughout the three weeks. Although changes are still being made in the script,
sites for shooting on campus now include Elizabeth Hall Chapel, Dean Strickland's office,
halls and stairways in Elizabeth Hall, classroom 204 and possibly the Johns room, 315.
Sandra Dawes, casting director for "Ghost Story," will be taking applications for extras
in room 204 of the CUB from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, March 4-6. She wishes
to encourage everyone to complete an application, since extras also will be needed for
scenes off campus. She will take applications from people of all ages (and that includes
children.) You will need a photograph of yourself, taken within the last 6 months. If
you are unable to apply during the first three days of casting, Miss Dawes will have an
office set up in town by the beginning of next week, and will continue to take applications throughout the shooting in DeLand. Hours and location of that office will be
posted as soon as they are available.
