6:30 p.m. *President's Reception in the Garden of President Duncan's Home
8:00 p.m. Commencement Recital in Elizabeth Hall featuring four outstanding
music school graduates chosen by a special selection committee.
Sunday, May 18
8:30 a.m. *Baccalaureate in the Edmunds Center
10:00 a.m. Brunch for the Seniors, Parents and Faculty in the Garden Room
2:00 p.m. *Commencement in the Edmunds Center
* All faculty are expected to attend.
Selected in the recent election as representatives-at-large on the Faculty Senate for
1980-81 were Bruce Bradford, Ray Cannon, Kenneth Everett, Brian Gillespie, and Kevin
O'Keefe. They will join: 1) from the School of Business Administration — Kenneth
Jackson and Harry Taft; 2) from the School of Music — Virginia Hutchings and Richard
Feasel; 3) from the College of Liberal Arts, the Division of Education — Joyce Brunk
and Lena Hobbs; the Division of Humanities — James Beasley and Robert Smith; the
Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics — Derek Barkalow and Gareth Williams,
and Division of Social Sciences - John Hague and Gary Maris.
All present and future members should be present for the final Senate meeting of the
academic year on Tuesday, May 6, 1980, at 6:45 p.m. in the Private Dining Room, CUB.
SUMMER OFFICE HOURS will start on Monday, May 19. Hours will be as follows: 8:00-12:00
and 1:00-4:00 (with one hour for lunch). National holidays: Memorial Day, Monday,
May 26; Independence Day, Friday, July 4. Labor Day again this year coincides with
the opening of the fall semester, and the Memorial Day holiday weekend is scheduled
as a substitute for the Labor Day paid holiday which has been enjoyed prior to 1977.
