All faculty and staff are please reminded of the University's firm policy that there
be no sales calls, solicitation, canvassing, surveying, et al., on University property
without prior arrangements and approval through the Dean of Student Affairs. Any
authorized representatives will have guest passes. The policy is for the protection
of the faculty and student body. Your help in adhering to the policy will be ap-

All faculty are cordially invited to the Sixth Annual Poetry Symposium, April 13-15.
Readings will be at 8 P.M. on three successive nights in the Stetson Room.

Tuesday: Diana Der Hovanessian (As part of this program Elizabeth Magarian will sing
her own versions of several of Der Hovanessian1s poems.)
Wednesday: Robert Hazel
The Stetson I.D. card machine has been moved to the Personnel Department located on
the first floor of Elizabeth Hall. All future I.D. cards for faculty, staff and
dependents will be made in the Personnel Office.
Dr. P. Papacosta, Department of Physics, will speak to the Biology Senior Seminars on
"Milestones in the History of Biology" on Thursday, April 16 at 4:00 P.M. in Sage Hall.
All are welcome.
John Schorr, Department of Sociology, has been awarded a scholarship by the Deutscher
Akademischer Austauschdienst (German Academic Exchange Service) for the study of German
in Germany. He will attend an eight-week language course at the Boppard Goethe In-
stitute in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Michael W. Raymond, Department of English, presented his paper "Giving English the
Business: Cliches, Misconceptions, and Anodynes" and participated in a panel "Alternate
Careers for English Graduates" at the National College English Association meeting
held, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Apri 1 3-5.
Dr. Robert Rich and Mollie Rich attended the American Choral Directors Association
National Convention March 4-7 in New Orleans, LA. More than 2,000 choral musicians
from throughout the United States were in attendance. Dr. Rich has just completed a
2h year term as President of the Florida Chapter of ACDA.
Dr. and Mrs. Robert Rich served as adjudicators for the State Festival of the Alabama
Vocal Association April 3-7 in Cullman and Montgomery, AL. They adjudicated students
from 114 choirs who had achieved superior ratings at district festivals through the state.
