INFORMATION CONCERNING COMMENCEMENT. ALL FACULTY PLEASE NOTE:
BACCALAUREATE: The baccalaureate service will be held in the Edmunds
Center at 8:30 A.M., Sunday, May 17. The platform party will assemble
in the President's Lounge in Edmunds Center at 8:10 A.M. The faculty
line-of-march will form at 8:00 A.M. in the corridor of Edmunds Center.
COMMENCEMENT: The graduation exercises will take place at 2:00 P.M. on
Sunday, May 17, in the Edmunds Center. THE PLATFORM PARTY WILL ASSEMBLE
FOR COMMENCE IN THE LOBBY OF EMILY HALL AT 1:30 P.M. THE FACULTY LINE-
OF-MARCH WILL FORM IN THE REAR OF EMILY HALL AT 1:30 P.M.
All faculty members are expected to attend in full academic regalia unless

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS: Once again during the summer season, the University
administrative office hours will be adjusted. As is our longstanding
practice, the clerical force work schedule will be reduced to 35 hours.
Offices will be open for service Monday-Friday from 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-
4:00. The summer schedule will be observed from Monday, May 18 through
Friday, August 28. Administrative staff personnel will maintain standard
hours until 4:30. You may also wish to note the two national holidays
which- will be observed during the summer season: Memorial Day, May 25,

The Bookstore will be closed for inventory from Saturday, May 16 until
Monday, June 6.
Wayne Dickson had an article entitled "Good Writers Make Good Programmers"
in the April issue of Creative Computing. In addition, he read a paper
entitled "Using Microcomputers to Teach English" at the Spring meeting of
the Florida College English Association.
Michael W. Raymond, Department of English, read his paper "Slaves to Fate,
Chance, Kings, and Desperate Men? English and the Rest of the World" at
the Florida College English Association meeting, May 1-2.
Dorie Rockefeller, assistant director of public relations, has been honored
with her second national award this year. She has received a Citation
from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for
the public relations program supporting Earth Day - 10 Years After.
Miss Rockefeller also received a 2nd Place award for public relations
programs in March from the Baptist Public Relations Association.
