The Stetson faculty is cordially invited to hear a lecture entitled "Forms
and Principles of Italian Renaissance Sculpture" by Dr. Piero Morselli at
8:00 p.m. Sampson Art Gallery, Monday, February 19, 1979. Dr. Morselli
graduated as an art major from Stetson in 1973 and received his Ph.D. from
the University of Pittsburgh in August of 1978. He has published several
articles in leading art journals this past year. The lecture is sponsored
by the Artist-Lecture Series and Stetson Art Department.

The Artists and Lecturers Committee is sponsoring two events during Black
Emphasis Week. On Monday, February 19, at 6:30 p.m. the film "Chisholm:
Pursuing the Dream" will be shown in the John Johns Room in Elizabeth Hall.
On Wednesday, February 21, the remarkable young author of an about-to-be
famous book on the Harlem Cotton Club will speak. Jim Haskins, barely
thirty years old, has already published over thirty books. ABC has recently
secured serialization rights to Cotton Club. Haskins will speak at 8:00 p.m.
in Elizabeth Hall.
Ken Thwing, Scott Soper, Gary Jackson & Ken Blanks will be absent from
class on February 22 and 23, 1979. They will be traveling to Thibodaux,
Louisiana to participate in the Annual Mardi-Gras Invitational Rifle Match.
The following students will be on a Foresnics Trip from Friday, February 16
to Saturday, February 17, going to Fla. Inst, of Tech. - Melbourne, Florida.
The following students will be on a Foresnics Trip from Thursday, February 15
to Monday, February 19, going to Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia.
The following members of the Stetson University Women's Tennis Team will be
away from the campus on February 13, 16 and 19 representing the University.
