There will be a meeting of the General Faculty, Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m. in Davis
Hall. The purpose of the meeting will be to present the 1977-78 budget report on the
recent Trustee meeting.

There will be a meeting of the AAUP at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, in the Faculty
Lounge. The purpose of the meeting is to receive a report from the Executive Committee
and to discuss the budget for next year which will have been announced in the General
Faculty meeting on Tuesday. As usual, all interested faculty members are invited to
attend.

A new delivery receipt system is being initiated by the Bookstore and Purchasing
Department. Packages delivered by the University truck will have a receipt form attached
which will require the signature of a Department representative and the date received.
This receipt is to be returned to the driver who will bring it back to the Bookstore
Purchasing Department. No packages will be left at a department unless the recipient
signs the receipt. Your cooperation will assist us in eliminating lost packages.

At the annual meeting of the Southeastern American Society for Eighteenth Century Studies,
February 17-19, the following two papers were read: "The Aesthetics of Sincerity:
From Classic to Neoclassic, " by Dr. Bradford Crain and "The Enduring Disease of Romance
in Eighteenth-Century England, " by Dr. Michael Raymond. Congratulations!
