IMPORTANT NOTICE: There will be a faculty meeting of the College of Liberal Arts at
7:00 p„ m. in Davis Hall on February 22. The discussion will center around the drop dates.
Please, be present to register your opinion and your vote.
Please note that the Faculty Senate will meet March 8 at 6:45 p. m. in the Faculty Lounge.
There, will be no dinner preceding the meeting.
There will be a meeting of the General Faculty on Tuesday, March 1 at 6:45 p. m. in
Davis Hall. The presentation of the 1977-78 budget will be the main item of business.

Professor William S. Dorn, Chairman of Mathematics at the University of Denver, will
speak on "Models of Population Growth" on Wednesday,February 23 at 11:00 in 210 Elizabeth
Hall. He will speak on "Math Modeling in Computing the Social-Behavioral Sciences" on
Thursday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. in 2 10 Elizabeth Hall. Professor Dorn has served as
Assistant Director of Mathematical Sciences at Watson Research Laboratory, I. B. M. ,
Yorktown Heights, and is co-author of a number of books ranging from numerical methods
to computing center management.
The following students were absent from classes on Monday, February 14 since they participated in a field trip with Dr. Kindred to the Sunland Training Center in Gainesville:
Carol Hendrix, Robin Hutcherson, Michael Iamaio, Mary King, Joel Manning, Andrew
McQuade, Stephani Qverholt, Tony Posa, Susan Sproul, and Alice Harris.
The following students will be absent from class on Wednesday, February 23 in order to
participate in the Men's Varsity Tennis Matches: Ken Persson, Chip Winston, Barry Byrd,
Scott Price, Mickey Nolan, Chuck Hall, Steve Rogers, and Jim McCarty.
