The next regular meeting of the Faculty Senate will be held in the Faculty Lounge (CUE) at
6:45 P.M., Tuesday, March 7th. All faculty are invited to this meeting.
The Faculty Discussion Group will meet Monday, March 6, at 12:00 noon in the Faculty Lounge.
Dr. Dennis Kletzing will discuss "Crises in Mathematics. " All faculty are invited.
Applications for the Washington Semester Program, Fall, 1978 will need to be in by March 15.
If you have a junior or senior interested in this program please send them to me for information and application forms. These students should have at least a 1.5 GPA with a 2. 0 preferable. In addition to the general American politics unit there are special units in economics,
American studies, urban development, science and technology and American foreign policy.

Mr. Dan Gunderson of Stetson's Art Department won the "Best in Show" award of $1, 000. 00
(one thousand!) for his ceramic sculpture entitled "Field of Flowers" at the "Images"
Exhibition in New Smyrna Beach, Sunday, February 26.
PLEASE NOTICE: The Inauguration of President Duncan will be held on March 10 at 10:30 A. M.
in the First Baptist Church. All faculty members will be expected to participate in the line-of-
march which will form upstairs in the Educational Building at 10:00 A. M. Full academic regalia will, of course, be required.
A cordial invitation to all faculty families to attend the function is hereby tendered. We hope
they can be present also.
Please remember Parents' Weekend, next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 10-12.
You are expected to attend the faculty and administration reception for parents at the President's house from 9:30 to 11:30 A. M. on Saturday, March 11. From 11:30 to 1:30, also on
Saturday, there will be a barbeque in the Forest of Arden, to which you are cordially invited.
