The Spring Semester meeting of the Faculty has been scheduled for March 15,
1979, at 7:00 p.m. in Flagler Hall, Room 100. In addition, to other business
the President will make a presentation related to the 1979-80 budget for the
University and the status of the capital fund campaign. /s^ President Duncan
Gary Libby of the Department of Art has recently published an article entitled, "Bruce Roberts and the Tradition of Marine Painting" in the January
issue of Southwest Art Magazine. He has been appointed to serve on the
Fine Arts Council of Florida Visual Review Committee for 1979-80 by Govenor
Robert Graham, and has been reappointed as Visual Consultant for the Museum
of Modern Art of Latin America, located at the Organization of American
States in Washington, D.C.
Attention All Faculty Members!!!!!
Revisions for the 1979-80 University Bulletin are being collected. All
suggestions for improvements of the Bulletin will be appreciated. Department Chairmen and directors of special programs particularly should review
the relevant Bulletin material for purposes of updating those sections.
If you have revisions, additions, or omissions to any section of the Bulletin, please send these to Dr. Brad Crain, box 1249 or call ext 275
as soon as possible or before March 1.

Two members of the History Department participated in the annual meeting
of the Florida College Teachers of History at Florida International University, February 16 & 17. Dr. Kevin O'Keefe was chairman of the session
titled "Home-Front in World War II" and Dr. Paul Steeves presented his paper,
"Vladimir Dmitrieevich Bonch-Bruevich, Advisor to Lenin." Dr. Gerald Critoph
of the American Studies Department also attended the meeting.
University Food Service: Mr. William Boone, Director of Food Services, has
been promoted by the University's contractor, Morrison Food Services, Inc.
His responsibilities are being assumed by Douglas Arie. You may wish to
