Summer School 1977 will be held from Monday, June 13 through Friday, August 5.
Please note: July 4, which falls on a Monday this year, will be a holiday.
Exams for Winter Term can be given on Friday, January 28, or Saturday, January 29, at
the time and place your class normally meets. If you want to give a two-hour exam,
you can obviously use both Friday and Saturday or find a two hour block of time and a
place acceptable to all of your students. If a student has a conflict (two exams at one
time), the 2:30 Friday afternoon hour should be free for make-ups.

A Reminder from the Comptroller's Office: Requisitions Received in the Comptroller's
Office by Monday, 12:00 Noon will be ready by Thursday, 10:00 a.m. Those received
by Thursday, 12:00 Noon, will be ready by Tuesday, 10:00 a.m.
Please remember, a purchase order must be obtained from the Purchasing Department
prior to any purchase of merchandise or services.
One more reminder: All accounting for travel advances must include proper receipts,
(lodging, transportation, registration fees, etc. ) A meal allowance of up to $8.00 a
day without receipts is authorized. A travel advance accounting is required within 30
days after receipt of the advance.
Dr. William E. Taylor, Chairman of the English Department at Stetson University, will
present three lectures on modern poetry at Meridian Junior College, Meridian, Mississippi,
as Dart of the 1977 Visiting Scholars Program. In addition to having many of his own
poems published, Dr. Taylor has recently authored A Short Guide to Reading and Writing
Poetry. He also edited Modern American Drama: Essays in Criticism.
A Reminder to Faculty: Students should have opted for Pass/NC or ABC/NC by Monday,
January 10, and you should have reported these choices to the Registrar's Office. Please
do not let students change their grading system. Grading will be due in the Registrar's
Office on Monday, February 7.
