"Lectures in Christian Theology"
Dr. R. Lofton Hudson
The series of lectures, "Christian Faith And The Pursuit Of Happiness, " will begin
Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Elizabeth Hall Auditorium. Although we will not have a
formal convocation on this date, your support of this series of lectures will be highly
appreciated.
CORRECTION:
Please note that Dr. R. Lofton Hudson's lecture, "Theology and the Sexual Revolution, "
is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 4, rather than 7:00 p.m. as previously
stated.
The Counseling Center Wednesday noon luncheons will begin again on February 2, 1977.
Please call Ext. 335 for new, or renewal of standing reservations. Or, as in the past,
call on Tuesday if you wish to attend on a week-to-week reservation basis.
Please note that in order to attend the FSU game on your ID you must pick up a free ticket
at least one week prior to the game. The tickets will be available January 31 through
February 7. No free tickets will be available at the game. The game is an expected sellout
and the Athletic Department needs to know how many seats they will have to sell. You may
pick up one ticket per ID at the Student Activities Office in the Carlton Union Building.

On January 19 the University received an urgent request from Florida Power Corporation
to reduce its electrical energy consumption to the maximum extent possible. In
characteristic fashion the University community responded wholeheartedly and optimistically.
Our consumption was reduced very dramatically from 40, 000 KWH on Wednesday to 20, 000
KWH on Thursday. A sincere word of thanks and commendation is due to all for a job
well done.

Continuing Energy Conservation: Conservation of resources is always a good operating
policy. At any time it may become a matter of mandatory necessity imposed due to
severe weather conditions. Specific service curtailments on campus will not be decided
upon in advance, but contingent plans are being made. Please keep in mind that all
hot water and a substantial amount of campus heat is from natural gas. While supplies
in the local utility system are presently thought to be adequate, a federal reallocation of
supplies could change that at any moment.
