The Stetson Blood Drive this spring will be on Monday and Tuesday, February
19 - 20, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Faculty/staff participation is
urgently needed, and you can choose an appointment time that assures you
minimum interruption of your class/office schedule. Please call Ext. 215
now to make your appointment.
The AAUP will not have a meeting in February.
Mr. Sims Kline, a member of the Library staff, has completed his thesis
for the M.A. degree in English at the University of Florida. He received
the degree Master of Arts on December 16 in Gainesville.
ALL airline tickets that are the responsibility of Stetson University
should be processed through one of the three travel agencies in DeLand so
that payment can be made directly by the University. The necessary form
for charging airline travel tickets is available in the Comptroller's
Office. For more information or assistance, please contact the Comptroller'

Tickets (reserved and general admission) for Faculty, Staff and Students
for the Homecoming basketball game on Friday, February 23 with South
Carolina must be picked up during the period February 12-16 at the Edmunds
Center. Hours: 9-12noon M-F, l-4pm M, T, Th. One ticket will be given per
I.D. card. Everyone must have a ticket. This supersedes the normal procedure for other basketball games because the Homecoming game is expected
to be a sell out. Questions should be directed to Walt Cunningham ext. 534.
Faculty and staff with Stetson ID may,purchase tickets to the Gene Cotton
Homecoming Concert for $1.50 at the Mini Sub daily from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
There are a limited number of these tickets available so you are requested
to get them early.
Tickets for non I.D. holders are $5.00 and may be purchased at the Edmunds
Center and the Record Ranch in DeLand, and several ticket outlets in
Daytona and Orlando.
Alumni may purchase tickets at the Alumni Office.
All tickets will be $5.00 on the day of the show.
On March 30-31, 1979, at the Sheraton Inn, Jacksonville Beach, there will
be a conference entitled "Humanities in America". A call has been sent
out for presentations, projects, or demonstrations on these topics:
Humanities and Fine Arts, Humanities and Sciences, Humanities and Career
Development, and Humanities and Literacy. A copy of the announcement may
be seen in the Office of the Dean of the University.
