The committee in charge of decorations for the University Woman's Club
"Big Band Party," to be held Saturday, February 3 in the Stetson Room,
plans a display of pictures of the band leaders and singers who were
popular in the 30's and 40's. Please call Richard Morland, Ext. 280,
or send him a note, Box 1419, if you have pictures of the artists on LP
record jackets or other artifacts of that period. Incidentally, if you
have not yet made your reservations, do this before January 30 by calling
Sue Vedder (734-5186) or Judy Makris (734-0376).
The Stetson chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, National Honorary in Education,
was represented at the Southeast Regional Conference in Charleston, S.C.
this past weekend, (Jan. 19-21). Those attending were Brenda Wilcox,
President; Leigh Shipley, VicePresident; Eleana Correa, Junior Representative; Cathy Homan, faculty co-counselor and Richard Feasel, faculty counselor.
This is to inform all the students and faculty that are planning to attend
the performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" Friday, Jan. 26th/ to
please be in their seats by 7:30 p.m. at.Stover Theatre as after that time
the public will.be admitted. They will need their I.D.'s for admittance.
Frank Barron, Ken Blanks, John Gregory, Scott Knutsen and Gary Lear should
be excused absences from classes of January 22. These men are members of
the Army ROTC Color Guard and served as outstanding representatives of
Stetson University when they presented the National and University colors
at Super Bov/1 XIII in Miami.
The following students will be on a Foresnics Trip from 1/25/79 to 1/28/79,
going to Auburn, Ala. Jack Pelzer, Diane Patrick, Kim Swoyer, Jeff Crowe,
Gennie Kirkwood, Ellen Covert, Paul Bisso, Tony Julian, Monica Wiebe,
Marge Hoffman.
WITHDRAWALS: Laura Akins, Francisco Cepero, and Raymond L. Lagor.
