Ms. Linda Hornaday, Coordinator from the Graduate School, Vanderbilt University, will be
on campus all day Wednesday, February 1, 1978, and is interested in meeting with department
heads, preferably in small groups, along with interested faculty, with respect to graduate
programs in arts and sciences and engineering at Vanderbilt. She will be in Room 109,
Flagler Hall, from 9:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. , and will be available to talk with any members of
the faculty advising students about graduate study, stipends, etc. Appointments can be made
through Dr. Fox in the Graduate Office, if desired, Room 124 Flagler Hall, or call Ext. 466.

The next regular meeting of the Faculty Senate will be held in the Faculty Lounge (CUB)
at 6:45 P.M. Tuesday, February 7th. All faculty are invited to this meeting.
The following students will be attending a Debate or Forensics Tournament this week end at
Auburn University. They will be absent from classes on Friday, January 27th.

JOHN E. JOHNS HISTORY AUDIO-VISUAL ROOM: Initial response from trustees and
alumni to the History Newsletter appeal for funds to refurbish Rooms 315 and 317 into audiovisual rooms have been good. We now have over $2, 000. We hope for wider participation
from the faculty prior to the listing of contributions in follow-up letters and in the next
History Newsletter. If you wish to join us in the effort, please send your check, payable to
