Baccalaureate for 1978 will be held on Sunday, May 21 at 8:30 a.m. in Edmunds Center. The
line of march will form at 8:00 a.m. at the Center in the usual place downstairs. The
platform party will form upstairs at the same time.
PLEASE NOTICE THIS CHANGE FOR COMMENCEMENT: Commencement exercises will
begin at 2:00 p.m. in Edmunds Center. The line of march for graduating seniors will form at
the Center at 1:15 p.m. Marshals will give seniors instructions for the processional at that
time.
Faculty will convene in Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church at 1:15 p.m. Platform
party will convene in the upstairs room of the education building of First Baptist Church at
1:15 p.m. Marshals will give instructions relating to the processional at that time.

Summer office hours will start on Monday, May 22. Hours will be as follows: 8:00-12:00
and 1:00-4:00 (which leaves 1 hour for lunch). National holidays: Memorial Day, Monday,
May 29; Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4. (Offices and classes are open and in session
on Monday, July 3. ) Labor Day again this year coincides with the opening of the fall semester,
and the Memorial Day holiday weekend is scheduled as a substitute for the Labor Day paid
holiday which had been enjoyed prior to 1977. Is/ H.G. Edmondson
Dr. Jesse L. Berry has received a stipend from the German Fulbright-Commission to attend
a five week seminar this summer. The program in modern German culture will begin at
the University of Bonn and end in West Berlin.
A copy of the Charter and By-Laws for Stetson University has been placed on reserve in the
DuPont-Ball Library so that Faculty members might have access to that document.
The Faculty Senate Welfare Committee 1978-1979 is: Dr. John Hague, Chairman, Mrs.
Mollie Rich, and Dr. Rob Brady. The Faculty Senate Executive Committee 1978-1979 is:

Dr. Brad Crain has been invited to read a paper titled "John Toland and John Tillotson: the
Problem of Deism and the Rationalistic Norm in the Church of England at the Turn of the
18th Century" and participate in the seminar panel discussion on "Deism" at the American
Society of Eighteenth Century Studies Annual Meeting in Atlanta, April 19-21, 1979.
The University Forum will be November 10 and 11, 1978 rather than November 3 and 4, 1978.
