A Reminder for all Liberal Arts Faculty: All courses in the College of
Liberal Arts must terminate with a final examination given during the
scheduled period. No exceptions to this policy can be made. Thank you.

Commencement will be held in the Edmunds Center on Sunday, May 20. The
baccalaureate service will be at 8:30 a.m. and the graduation ceremony
at 2:00 p.m. The faculty line-of-march will form at 8:00 a.m. and again
at 1:30 p.m. in the inside corridor of the west side of the Edmunds
Center. All faculty members are expected to attend, in full academic
regalia, unless officially excused. /s/ Dean Chauvin
To All Members of the Liberal Arts Faculty: Please remember that the
10:00 o'clock hour during the week is to be a free hour. No classes or
activities are to be scheduled during this time. Please keep this hour
open. Also, absolutely no activities, including departmental meetings,
are to be scheduled during the 10:00 o"clock hour on Wednesday, Anything
scheduled for this time should be changed to another hour immediately.

WANTED: 1951 Stetson HATTER. If anyone who reads this knows of anyone
with a 1951 HATTER in fairly good condition, a former student who has lost
hers, would like to have a copy and is willing to pay any expense involved.

Dr. Gareth Williams of the Mathematics Department has recently had a book
"Practical Finite Mathematics" published. The book focuses on applying
mathematics.
Approval of Larger Mailings: In recent weeks there have been instances
when lack of planning has caused University offices to circumvent mailing
approval procedures by deliberately dividing mailings and dispatching them
over several days. Approval procedures are for our mutual benefit to
assure sufficient postage budgeting. Legitimate unanticipated postage
requirements can be provided for without undue delay by consulting the
Comptroller's Office. Please do not subject your mailing to delays by
failing to secure the postage permit in advance.
