There will be a series of lectures and conferences on Christian theology given by Dr. Grady
C. Cothen, former President of Oklahoma Baptist University and Southern Seminary in New
Orleans. The first will be part of an all University Convocation to be held at 9:00 a.m. ,
Tuesday, February 24, 1976, in the first Baptist Church. Other events in the series include:
12:00 noon, Tuesday, February 24.
Informal buffet luncheon for faculty and staff in the Private Dining Room of the CUB.

7:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 24.
The second lecture will be held in Elizabeth Hall auditorium. Students will meet in Allen
Hall with Dr. Cothen following the lecture for discussion.
10:00a.m., Wednesday, February 25.
The final lecture will be given in the regular Chapel hour in Elizabeth Hall auditorium.
For the Convocation of Tuesday morning, the faculty line-of-march will form at the First
Baptist Church at 8:30 a.m. Academic regalia will be required.
All 8:00 a.m. classes that morning will be cancelled. The 9:25 a.m. class will resume at
10:05 a. m. that day.
NOTICE: All classes will meet on the Friday of Homecoming weekend and on Good Friday,
as scheduled.
Sometime this week all professors in the various areas of the Humanities will receive detailed
information concerning this year's Taylor Prize Essay Competition. You will note two very
significant changes in the rules, changes which we hope will increase student interest and
participation. A few additional copies will be sent to you for distribution to interested students. The committee is hoping for a better response than in past years and will appreciate
your efforts to stimulate interest.
