Career Week activities will begin Monday, March 8th, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Recent graduates will
gather in the Student Lounge of the Carlton Union Building to tell of their job hunting experiences and current work involvement. Graduates will be from most academic areas. On
Wednesday, March 10, over 30 different companies will be represented in the Student Lounge
of the Carlton Union Building to talk with students about specific career possibilities.
We encourage you to inform your classes, and to attend yourself if possible. For more
information, contact Mr. George Williams, Placement Office, ext. 300.
The Artists and Lecturers Committee of Stetson will present Masuko Ushioda, internationally
acclaimed violinist, in recital Thursday, March 11, in Elizabeth Hall at 8:00 p.m.
Dr. Charles Vedder and Mr. John Schorr attended the recent meeting of the Florida Conference
of Sociologists in Orlando. Undergraduate majors attending were Linda Armour, Marie Bologna,
Laura Campbell, Randy Griffiths, and Miriam Hester.
Professor Joel Wright of the Department of Sociology attended the recent meeting of the Southeastern Council on Family Relations at Hilton Head, South Carolina. He also spoke recently
to a group at Stetson Baptist Church on working with the institutionalized aged.
The Admissions Office and the Honors Program are planning a weekend orientation program
(Honors Weekend) for prospective Honors students. On Saturday, March 14, this group, along
with the present Honors students, are planning a cookout at New Smyrna Beach. If you own
or know of a beach house whose bath facilities this group could use, please contact Dr. C.C.
Colwell at ext. 246 or 330.

present a performance of "As You Like It" to students from DeLand Junior High School:
