AFRICAN AFFAIRS LECTURE: Dr. Gwendolyn Carter, the nationally noted authority in African
studies, will give a lecture in Davis Hall Auditorium on Monday night, April 12, at 7:30.
Her address entitled, "Crisis in Southern Africa — Rhodesia and the Union of South Africa"
will deal with the very explosive situation in that area. Monday night classes will be
welcome as well as other interested faculty and students. There is no admission charge.

Pre-registration for the summer session and the fall semester will be April 14, 15, and 16.
This year's student awards assembly will be Friday, April 30. at 10:00 a.m. in Elizabeth Hall
Auditorium. Any Departments or honoraries who will be giving awards to students should notify
the Office of Student Affairs in writing before April 26 as to the title of the award, the name
of the recipient and who the presenters will be.
Attention Advisors: The following courses, listed in the Fall and/or Summer Schedule, will
satisfy the Humanities distributional requirement in a non-verbal art area. Requirement is
3 hours in a non-verbal art course.

Hum 175 - Elementary Music Reading (Note: .This course is only 1 hour and student will need
2 more hours in a non-verbal art course.)
