At the Liberal Arts faculty meeting Thursday, March 13, it was decided to devote a
meeting specifically to discussion of the Honors Program. As Director of the program,
I expect at that meeting to present information concerning these areas: purpose, selection of students, grading, curriculum, special privileges, and administration. (Many
of these areas, of course, have been the concern of the Gillespie-Everett committee,
in the report already distributed. ) If there is a specific question or some other area
of concern you want included, please give it to me, to Dr. Medlin, chairman of the
Honors Council, or to your divisional council representative (Mr. Libby, Dr. Morland,

The Annual Student Awards Assembly is to be held on Monday, April 28th, in Elizabeth
Hall at 10:00 A.M. Forms are being sent to Department Heads and Administrative
Department Heads concerning the program. If you do not receive a form, yet have an
award to give at the Assembly, please call the Office of Student Affairs.
The Student Affairs Committee has placed around the campus Suggestion Boxes to be
used by Stetson students and faculty. Suggestions or comments will be sent to the
department or chairman concerned. If the suggestion is signed, it would be appreciated
if a response is sent to the individual, thus hopefully, improving communications. Anyone requesting further information, please contact Mr. Ronald Baugh, Extension 387.
