Beginning Wednesday, January 15 at 2:30 P.M. and continuing each Wednesday
afternoon thereafter, there will be a series of student-faculty informal discussions
held at the Wesley House. Coffee will be provided, and all students and faculty
interested in a stimulating rap session are welcome.
James C. Wright, a member of the faculty of the Speech and Theatre Department
was awarded the Ph.D. Degree by The Ohio State University at its graduation
exercises in December.
Dr. Edward Teller will be speaking at Florida Technological University on Wednesday,
January 15th at 8:00 P.M., and Friday, January 17th at 2:00 P.M. All students and
faculty members of Stetson University are cordially invited to attend.
On November 19, 1974 Public Law 93-380 formally called the "Family Educational
Rights and Privacy Act of 1974" went into effect. This law gives students in post
secondary institutions complete access to their personal records upon request. It
also states that certain other individuals and agencies cannot have access to student
records without the written permission of the student; this includes parents. Each
member of the faculty and administration is strongly urged to familiarize himself
with this new law. If you wish further information or have questions pertaining to
the law, you may contact the Office of Student Affairs.
The Faculty Discussion Group will meet Thursday evening, January 16, at 7:30 P.M.
in the Lounge. Paul Steeves will present his paper, "A. V. Karev: Russian Evangelical
Ecumenist. " Copies of the paper are available in the History Office.
The Artists and Lecturers Committee announces two events:
