The Faculty Discussion Group will meet Tuesday evening, February 25, in the Faculty
Lounge at 7:30 P.M. Warren McWilliams will present his paper, "Hegel's Phenomenology:
An Apology for Transcendence. " Copies can be picked up this week in Allen Hall, 203.
W. C. Fields will appear on the campus in two forms. On Sunday, February 23, three
films starring W. C. Fields will be shown in the Stetson Room, beginning at 8:30 P.M.
They will be "You Can't Cheat an Honest Man, " "My Little Chickadee, " and W.C. Fields
Festival #81. " On Thursday, February 27, a live performance by a W. C. Fields impressionist, Richard Paul, will be presented in Elizabeth Hall Auditorium. He will appear
with Peter Mitchell who plays Fields' friend, Marmaduke Gump, a bartender. The show
is a series of sketches from Fields' classics plus new material written by his grandson,
Ronald Fields, from family remembrances. Admission to both events is by I. D. cards
for students and faculty and staff families.
Faculty and Staff interested in playing intramural Softball are asked to contact Michael
Raymond (campus box 1306--Extension 330) as soon as possible.
Due to space problems some assorted reference books are being offered- free of charge-
to the Stetson Faculty. First come- first served. Please see Mrs. Betty Johnson,
Technical Services Librarian, if you are interested in these books.
