The next Faculty Meeting is scheduled for February 13, 1975 at 7 P.M. in Davis
Hall, and will be used by the College of Liberal Arts to hear reports from the
Committee concerned with academic standards provided the work of the Committee
is finished at that time.
Dr. Gareth Williams of the Mathematics Department has a paper "Fine Topologies
For Minkowski Space" appearing in the current volume of The Proceedings of The
Cambridge Philosophical Society. The paper is in the area of the Mathematical/
Philosophical Foundations of Relativity Theory.
Mr. Wayne Dickson of the English Department will be on a panel to discuss the topic
of'Literacy In The Future'at the Central Florida Conference of Teaching of English
on January 18, 1975
Raymond Smith, a Stetson University alumnus, is showing photographs in the
Sampson Art Gallery as part of the January exhibit. Mr. Smith, who earned his
degree in American Studies, is -working on his Ph.D. at Yale University and the
exhibit is part of his dissertation. He will be speaking in the Stetson Room at
8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 21st, about his research in the town of Southington,
Connecticut, around the turn of the century.
Remember the annual meeting of the Stetson University Credit Union Wednesday,
January 22, 1975, Room 204-205 of the Carlton Union Building at 1:30 P.M.
TICKETS FOR BILL COSBY CONCERT: Faculty members may secure general
admission tickets for the Cosby concert with their I. D. Cards at $3. 00 each. This
is a 25% discount. They may be purchased in Mrs. Snell's office in the Carlton
Union Building at any time. Faculty desiring reserved seats must pay the full price
of $5. 00 or $6. 00. Reserve seat tickets may be secured in the Alumni Office.
Faculty members can purchase only the number of general admission tickets at $3. 00
as they have I. D. Cards.
