ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Faculty Senate will meet Monday, October 4, 2004, in the Faculty Lounge in the Carlton Union Building.
Senators and invited guests meet for dinner at 6:00 p.m. The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. and all faculty
members are encouraged to attend.

The University Faculty will meet Friday, October 15, 2004, at 12:00 noon in the Stetson Room. Agenda items will
be announced electronically at a later date. A light lunch will be served beginning at 11:45 a.m. Minutes of the
University Faculty Meeting held September 17, 2004, are attached elsewhere to this edition of The Newsletter.

Please note the change in times for Fall 2004 Commencement as listed in the 2004-2005 Academic Calendar
(found at http://www.stetson.edu/offices/academicaffairs/acadcal04-05.htm). Commencement for graduate degree
candidates will be held in the Elizabeth Hall Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2004. Commencement for
undergraduate degree candidates will be held in the Edmunds Center at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2004.
The ceremonies were first split last spring to reduce overcrowding in the Edmunds Center, and met with favorable
response, especially from our graduate students.
