ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Faculty Senate will meet September 9, 2002 in the Faculty Lounge in the Carlton Union Building. Senators and
invited guests meet for dinner at 6:00 p.m. The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. and all faculty members are
encouraged to attend. The agenda includes reports from Senate committees, a report from President Lee, the
Faculty Senate survey and setting the agenda for the year.

UNIVERSITY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES ONLINE. Sections 1 - 4 of the Stetson University Organization, Policies,
and Procedures Manual are now available at https:// beret.stetson.edu/pol_proc/. A convenient link to this site is
found on Stetson's intranet page. The sections include: 1) Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of the University;
2) Organization and Administration of the University; 3) Academic Affairs; and 4) Personnel Policies. Bylaws of the
University Faculty and Bylaws of the Faculty Senate are also incorporated on the website. Future additions to the
policy website include university-wide finance policies and procedures.
With this electronic availability of University Policies and Procedures, Stetson now has the framework to make all
university-wide policies consistent and readily accessible. Please be advised that the official version of all
University Policies and Procedures will be maintained online and in hard copy only in the Institutional Research
Office. All other hard copies are potentially obsolete after their print date.

CHANGES TO THE ACADEMIC CALENDAR. Two significant changes, as follow, have been made to the 2002-
2003 Academic Calendar. The Registrar's Office requires all grades for the 2002 fall semester to be submitted by
9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2002. The 2003 spring Baccalaureate is now scheduled for 11:00 a.m. and
2003 spring Commencement for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. 2003. The Academic Calendar is posted online
