ANNOUNCEMENTS
HAND GRANTS DEADLINE. Faculty applications for Hand Grants for Professional Development Projects and
Hand Grants for Course Enhancement are now being accepted. They are due to Department Chairs on January
19, 2004. The application can also be found in the "Faculty Professional Development Opportunities" handbook,
which is available in hard copy from the Office of Academic Affairs as well as electronically on the Academic
Affairs web page (www.stetson.edu/offices/academicaffairs). Traditionally, a total of six grants of $2,000 each
are awarded.

FINAL GRADES ARE DUE to the Registrar via BannerWeb by 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, for all students.

The last check run for 2003 will be Monday December 22, 2003. All check requisitions must be in the Finance
Office by Friday December 19 at 1:00 PM to be included in that run. Any checks that are requested to be held
for pick up will be available Tuesday December 23 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Note From the Editor: The December 19 issue will be the last edition of The Newsletter for the 2003 calendar
year. During the month of January, The Newsletter will be published on the second and fourth Fridays, January
9 and January 23. Articles for the next issue are due by Wednesday, January 7, at 4:00 p.m. The normal
publication schedule of the first and third Friday will return in February.
