ANNOUNCEMENTS
2002 Fall Commencement is scheduled for Saturday, December 14 at 9:00 a.m. in the Edmunds Center. The
Faculty Line of March forms at 8:30 a.m. in the Lower West Corridor of the Edmunds Center and all faculty should
plan to attend. Full regalia is required. The Line of March is published elsewhere in this edition of The Newsletter.
Minutes of the November 22, 2002 Faculty Meeting are attached elsewhere to this edition of The Newsletter.

HAND GRANTS DEADLINE. Faculty applications for Hand Grants for Professional Development Projects and Hand
Grants for Course Enhancement are now being accepted. They are due to Department Chairs on January 14, 2003.
The application is attached elsewhere to The Newsletter and can also be found in the "Faculty Professional
Development Opportunities" handbook, which is available through the Office of Academic Affairs as well as the
Academic Affairs web page (www.stetson.edu/offices/academicaffairs). A total of six grants of $2,000 each will
be awarded and not as printed in the 2002-2003 Faculty Professional Development Opportunities handbook.
