A SPECIAL THANKS to all who were involved in making Convocation the success that it was. Faculty
participation was truly impressive; the Platform Party represented the University splendidly; the Marshals
were pros at organizing and directing the processional and recessional; Facilities Management did a superb
job with decorations, setting up and taking down; the students performing in the brass ensemble produced
a great sound; Public Safety delivered the programs in good time; the Registrar's Office and Admissions
worked hard in processing information for the programs; FOCUS group leaders were timely, competent and
enthusiastic; and Student Life put forth tremendous effort that produced a wonderful orientation experience
for students and parents. With over 1,000 in attendance, Convocation was simply splendid and the
response from faculty, students and parents has been favorable. Good job, everyone! From: Judy Ward
