UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETING-FRIDAY. SEPTEMBER 22-STETSON ROOM, NOON - 1:15 p.m.
Included in the agenda is a discussion to be led by Jim Beasley regarding the newly approved grievance
policy, and a report from Betty Johnson, Chair of the Professional Development Committee. A light lunch

Community Service Council Values Council Seeks New Members
The Community Service Council Values Council is looking for interested faculty to serve in the 2000-01
academic year. We will be working on expanding the Community Service at Stetson in areas such as
Service Learning and researching the possibility of a Community Service transcript endorsement. The
meetings for the semester will be in Hollis Center Classroom from 3:30 - 4:30 pm on the following days:

Getting the Most from Your Palm Device. The Department of Continuing Education is offering a free
seminar to Stetson faculty and staff on how to get the most out of your Palm device. You will explore the
functions of the Datebook, Address Book, To Do List, Memo Pad and Email with special instruction on
editing data, drag and drops. Graffiti, beaming, downloading, Hot Sync and much more. We have engaged
the area's top Palm instructor for this seminar so bring whatever Palm device you use to this hands-on
workshop. The seminar is scheduled for Thursday, September 28 from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. in Room 25 of the

LIVE IN ELIZABETH HALL...
Friday. September 22, 7:30 p.m. - Faculty members, Jane Christeson, mezzo-soprano, and Michael
Rickman, piano, will be performing music of DuParc, Debussy, Durufl6, Brahms, Saint Saens, and
Tchaikovsky. Christeson and Rickman will be assisted throughout the recital by Andrew Stroud, guitar,
David Bjella, cello, Norton Christeson, tenor, Jake Sentgeorge, baritone, Craig Maddox, baritone, and
Duncan Couch, bass baritone. This recital is Free with a Stetson ID.
Saturday, September 23. 7:30 p.m. - Guest recitalist John Griffiths, tuba, assisted by Kayla Paulk, will be
performing contemporary works by David Mclntyre, Elizabeth Raum, and Simon Mantia & David
Werden. This recital is Free with a Stetson ID.
Tuesday, September 26, 9 p.m. - A Recital of Cross-Cultural Music featuring Indian Music virtuoso,
Nandkishor Muley, Stetson World Music Professor, Panaiotis (voice and electronics), and Stetson Professor
of Composition, Kari Juusela (electric cello). Please note that this recital will not begin at the usual concert
