FACULTY REMINDER: The deadline for applications for the Freiburg Short-Term Faculty Exchange is
November 1, 2000. For an application or information please contact The Center for International Education

FACULTY: Please announce to your students that the deadline for Study-Abroad Program participation for
the Spring semester of the Academic year 2000-2001 is October 2, 2000. The Center for International

NEH SUMMER STIPENDS
Stetson can nominate two faculty members for the 2001 NEH Summer Stipends competition. Stipends
provide $4000 for two consecutive months of full-time independent study and research. Faculty who
would like to apply should submit a brief summary of their proposed project to Karen Kaivola or Grady
Ballenger by Monday, September 25th. In the event that more than two faculty members express interest,
proposals will be evaluated by the Deans. Applications must be postmarked by October 1. More

The Bulletin- The 2000-2001 Stetson University Bulletin can be found at the following address:
bttJ3:^/www!.stetson.edu/admissions/bulletinOO01 /. Paper copies should be ordered through the Admissions
Department. FYI-Changes to be reflected in the 2001-2002 Bulletin will be due around the first week of
December. Changes made at that time are the only ones for which we do not have to pay extra. Please try
to confirm all changes by December.
Also, I'm always looking for interesting photos to be included in the Bulletin. If your department or program
has had or will have any photo opportunities, please try to forward a particularly good photo to me. I'll be
happy to try to highlight your students or some aspect of your program in the photos in the Bulletin.

Stephen Robinson Benefit Guitar Concert. Stetson Professor of Music Stephen Robinson will perform a
concert in behalf of the Friends of Art on Saturday, September 23, 2000 in the Duncan Gallery of Art, 7:00
p.m. Tickets, $10 per person, are available at the Art Department, 214 Sampson Hall (904-822-7266).
