ANNOUNCEMENTS
FALL COMMENCEMENT is Saturday, December 18, 9:00 a.m. Edmunds Center. Dr. David Dysart, 1999 McEniry
Award Winner is the Speaker. All faculty are asked to march in full academic regalia. The line of march will form
in the Edmunds Center at 8:30 a.m. The President's reception for students, parents, and faculty will follow
immediately after the ceremony in the Hollis Center. From: Jim Woodward, Chair, Council of Deans
FINAL GRADES FOR GRADUATING SENIORS are due in the Registrar's Office by 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 17.
FINAL GRADES FOR ALL STUDENTS are due in the Registrar's Office by 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28. Please
do not forget to sign rolls and hand deliver them if at all possible to the Registrar's Office, so that we may resolve
any problems which may exist.
Faculty are asked to please adhere to the 9:00 a.m. deadline, as the Registrar's Office will only have two days to
process grades and get them in the mail. Failure to do this will mean grades will not go out until after the New
Year.
Faculty are also reminded that the optically scanned grade rolls must pass through a machine to be read, and
therefore they cannot be folded, stapled or mutilated in any way. Errant marking of the form will cause it to be
rejected. We also request that you pay particular attention to the instructions on the form so that errors may be
minimized. Thank you all in advance for your cooperation. From: Jim Barbour, Registrar
REMINDER--CHECK-RUN SCHEDULES IN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE. With the holidays quickly approaching, I want
to advise faculty and staff of the check-run schedules in Accounts Payable, and to ask your assistance with the
process. During the Christmas/New Year holiday, requisitions must be in the Finance Office no later than Monday,
December 20, to be ready for pick-up or mailing on Wednesday, December 22. This will be the last check run for
1999. Requisitions received after the December 20 cut-off will be processed as quickly as possible on January
4, 2000. If emergency checks are required after December 22, please make arrangements with me personally.
