10th ANNUAL JURIED STUDENT ART EXHIBITION OPENS TONIGHT! A catered reception for this event begins
at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19, in Sampson Hall, followed by an awards ceremony at 7:00 p.m. The
exhibition features 82 works by 51 currently enrolled Stetson students (10 are non-art/digital art majors) including
painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, photography, digital art. Exhibition judge Theo Wujcik (art
professor at the University of South Florida), will announce his selection of the award-winning pieces. This is an
Arts and Sciences Cultural Credit event. From: Chris Nelson
REMINDER-TELECONFERENCE ON ACADEMIC INTEGRITY. All members of the Stetson community are invited
to attend this event, which will take place on Monday, November 22, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., in the Large Group
Presentation Room of the Instructional Media Center. The conference, which originates at the University of
Vermont, will involve a number of nationally recognized experts in the area of academic ethics and integrity. An
overview of current research in the field will be provided, and practical, effective suggestions for improving the
integrity of the campus community will be discussed. The event is sponsored by the Honor Code Task Force and

CHECK-RUN SCHEDULES IN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE. With the holidays quickly approaching, I want to advise
faculty and staff of the check-run schedules in Accounts Payable, and to ask your assistance with the process.
During the Christmas/New Year holiday, requisitions must be in the Finance Office no later than Monday, December
20, to be ready for pick-up or mailing on Wednesday, December 22. This will be the last check run for 1999.
Requisitions received after the December 20 cut-off will be processed as quickly as possible on January 3, 2000.
If emergency checks are required after December 22, please make arrangements with me personally.

FACULTY, mark your calendars! On Thursday, December 2, from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., in Rinker Auditorium, the
Faculty Senate will host an open forum with Master Campus Planner Dale Sprankle and Vice President for Facilities
Management David Noyes. Sprankle will give a brief overview of the concept of master planning on campus as
it relates to planning initiatives in the future. In addition, the forum will be an opportunity to ask questions and
