The University Faculty Meeting scheduled for Friday, November 7, has been cancelled. From: Jim Woodward
The Faculty Senate will meet this Monday, November 3, at 6:45 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge. The meeting will be
preceded by dinner also in the Faculty Lounge at 6:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

FACULTY: If you are planning an OFF CAMPUS trip, please notify the Office of International Exchange as soon
as possible. A copy of university guidelines will be sent to you. A proposal of the trip must be sent by the end
of the first month of the semester preceding the trip to the University Committee on International and Off-Campus
Programs for approval and verification concerning technical details. This should show budget, itinerary (air and
ground transportation, cities and places), and any other relevant information. Please mail to campus box 8412.
All Directors of new trips must make a presentation to the International Committee-the university committee that
oversees and approves off-campus trips.

PLEAS£ ANNOUNCE TO YOUR CLASSES: Free trip to Peru. Dr. Richard Wood in the Economics DepafWvefrris-
planning a trip to the Peruvian Sierra sponsored by the Hollis International Scholars Program and Latin American
Studies. Student applications can be picked up in room 334 EH. They are due on November 3. The goal of the
trip is to observe how rural Peruvians struggle to exist in this spectacular yet harsh land, and to study how
government agencies and private non-profit, non-governmental agencies seek to reduce malnutrition and illiteracy.
Participants will visit areas few tourists ever see. Therefore, I urge you to encourage your students to take part
in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Spanish proficiency is required.

REGISTRATION OFFICE HOURS. A reminder that advanced registration for upper-class students for the Spring
Semester will be held on Monday and Tuesday, November 3 and 4, from 2:30 to 7:00 p.m. and first-year students
will register on Thursday, November 13, from 2:30 to 7:00 p.m. The Registrar's Office will open at noon on
November 3 and 4, and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on November 13 to accommodate the registration period.
